Working together lets us combine our unique skills to compliment the services we offer. From technical camera craft and composition to lighting, fine attention to detail and emotion. While one camera is focused on the subject, another camera is able to capture the spontaneous candid moments.

Why Hanmer Springs?


James moved into North Canterbury in 2008 While Nadine was born and raised here.

We were married in Hanmer Springs in 2012 and it has since held a special place in our lives.

Since then we have lived in and around Hanmer Springs and finally settled on a quiet rural property just outside of Hanmer.


We are relaxed and easy going, there is no pressure or rushing on a photo session.

The main goal is for you to enjoy your time and have photos you will look back on for years to come and remember the experience in a positive light.


Motivation & Inspiration


Both James & Nadine grew up with a camera in the house, from taking deposable film photos to making short films with a camcorder.

It was a natural progression to use this creativity and channel it into photography.

In 2020 it turned from a hobby into a passion and since then it has blossomed into what it is today.


Outside of our portrait photography, we are inspired by the beautiful nature around us. from the snow capped mountains to the native birds and fauna.

When we are not out photographing people we are often out in nature observing and capturing the play of light and shadow on the landscape.
